Destination: Marseillan

GREAT NEWS ; RYANAIR  FLY TO BEZIERS .That's right,Ryanair are now flying from Luton,Manchester,Edinburgh and Bristol (and Dusseldorf,Paris,Oslo and Stockholm) to Beziers/CapD'Adge Airport which is about 15/20 minutes drive from the house. It is a tiny airport so therefore really easy to travel through, very close to Marseillan without being obtrusive at all and a very simple route to take your first driving experience in France. This also makes it cost effective for those of you who wish to take a taxi from the airport to the house, although we do recommend car hire to really make the most of this region.

We can arrange a great expat chap to pick you up , approx 20 euros per car-full each way, with a free up-date on the locals .

There is also a bus that runs from the airport about half an hour after each arrival that links the airport to Marseillan and Marseillan Plage .All for 1 Euro each way !

Just for now I will mention that nearly everyone who has stayed at Belle Madeleine  has arrived via Ryanair !

I will add a map, driving and rail details later, suffice to say that Beziers airport is about 15 minutes away,Montpellier 40 mins and Nimes about an hour. Perpignan and Carcassonne are about 80 mins away. When you have booked, you will recieve full instructions and driving directions.

Beziers is usually the cheapest, then Montpellier followed by the other two.

Mid week and off peak prices are usually fantastic and we will always try to fit you in should you choose to travel mid week.

In mind of the Ryanair policy of baggage allowances and the recent restrictions on cabin baggage, it is worth pointing out that there are many places to buy your provisions for your holiday in and around Marseillan.

Travel light, buy locally, save excess baggage charges and support the local area..... everyone's happy.
